La Mala Leche is a Spanish brand producing vegan muffins in a completely plastic-free packaging.
The owner’s family background in baked goods provided the knowledge and with new positive and sustainability values the company was born.
Together, we developed the brand identity, packaging and a unique mascot, featured in the throughout their products and merchandising, as well as in a sweet and surreal animated brand video.
Sustainability is at the core of the brand and that meant an extensive material research.
There is no use of plastic and the muffins are kept fresh in a reusable and compostable sachet.
The cardboard packaging itself offers the possibility of having a longer life-span by doubling as a postcard.
